Primer and Top Coat
Our gates and railings are finished with a high quality black matt paint as standard. We recommend that they are painted with quality semi-gloss paint suitable for exterior surfaces prior to installation and attaching fittings.

Hot Dip Galvanised
Galvanized coatings protect your purchase in many ways, zinc weathers at a very slow rate giving a long and predictable life. Galvanizing is unique. The process produces a coating which is bonded to the steel. All parts of the surface of the steelwork are coated – external, internal, awkward corners and areas with narrow gaps. Specified to a British Standard: EN ISO 1461. This provides anti corrosion coating that is silver in colour and protects metal from rusting for 20+ years. Powder coating can be applied on top of the galvanising to provide a satin finish to and standard RAL colour. This is our top specification finish and it will give you a maintenance free product that you will never have to rub down or paint.

Powder Coated
The result of choosing a powder coated product is that it will have an attractive, durable and high-quality finish. Please note that powder coatings alone will not protect your ironwork from rust. Whilst powder coating is a high quality finish and provides some resistance to corrosion, rust will begin to appear over time meaning that periodically you will need to rub the paintwork down and touch it up using enamel paint suitable for external surfaces.
